Can a leaking roof be repaired instead of replaced?
Sometimes. Ask the roofer to show where the leak starts, what a repair would fix, and the condition of the surrounding roof. Widespread deterioration or recurring problems may change the recommendation. A leak alone is not proof that the whole roof needs replacing.
