1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

RooferDirectory.co (“the Site,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Ember Labs (emberlabs.com), a trade name of ECC Management, LLC. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site and any services offered through it.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

RooferDirectory.co is a free, online directory that helps homeowners locate and compare roofing contractors by geography, ratings, and other criteria. The Site displays contractor profiles that may include business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, service areas, and other information obtained from public sources or submitted by businesses.

We are not a contractor. Ember Labs and ECC Management, LLC do not perform roofing work, employ roofing contractors, or act as a general contractor. We do not guarantee, endorse, or warrant the quality, timeliness, or legality of any work performed by listed contractors. Any “Get a Quote,” “Request Estimate,” or similar feature is a referral or introduction service only. Matching you with a contractor does not constitute a recommendation; you are responsible for your own due diligence before hiring anyone.

3. User Conduct

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form (including quote requests, contact forms, or contractor claim forms).
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or use automated means to collect data from the Site without our prior written permission.
• Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the directory for commercial use.
• Use the Site to send spam, harass others, or engage in any unlawful or harmful activity.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

4. Contractor Listings & Accuracy Disclaimer

Contractor information is compiled from publicly available sources (including but not limited to public records and third-party data providers) and from information submitted by businesses that claim their listings. While we strive to present accurate information, we do not independently verify every contractor’s licenses, insurance, bonding, or professional qualifications. Listing appearance (including order or prominence) does not imply endorsement.

Your responsibility. Homeowners are solely responsible for verifying any contractor’s credentials, reputation, and suitability before entering into any agreement or making any payment. Contractors who claim their listings are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide; we may display that information in good faith but do not guarantee it.

5. Get a Quote / Lead Forms Disclaimer

When you submit a quote request or similar form, the contact and project information you provide may be shared with one or more roofing contractors in your area so they can respond with estimates or information. We facilitate that introduction; we do not control how contractors respond, what they charge, or how they perform work.

We are not responsible for the quality, price, timing, or outcome of any work performed by any contractor you engage through or after using the Site. Submitting a quote request does not create a contract between you and RooferDirectory.co or Ember Labs. Any agreement you enter into is solely between you and the contractor.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site’s design, text, graphics, logos, and other content (other than content submitted by third parties) are owned by Ember Labs or ECC Management, LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our content without permission.

Content submitted by contractors (such as business names, logos, and descriptions) remains the property of those businesses. By submitting such content, they grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it in connection with operating the directory.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and all content and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your reliance on any listing or contractor information, or any interaction or transaction with a contractor. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid to us to use the Site in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim—which, for this free directory, is zero.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ember Labs, ECC Management, LLC, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with any contractor identified through the Site.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (including contractor websites, maps, or other services). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites. Links are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
