Terms of service.

RooferDirectory.co is operated by Ember Labs, a trade name of ECC Management, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service govern your use of the Site, its directory, content, tools and request forms. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into an agreement to submit a roofing request or act for a business. If you act for a company, you must have authority to do so. Our Privacy Policy explains data practices. Accepting these Terms alone is not consent to optional tracking, marketing calls or texts.

The overview above is a reading guide; these full Terms govern, subject to rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

We provide a free directory of roofing companies, guides, cost-planning tools and weather information. Business profiles may show public or owner-submitted names, locations, contact details, services, ratings and reviews. We may help arrange introductions when you request a quote.

We do not perform roofing work, employ the listed contractors or act as your general contractor. We do not guarantee their qualifications, availability, pricing, workmanship or results. A contract for roofing work, payment, permit or warranty is between you and the contractor or other provider you choose.

Separately offered business services, such as featured placements or AI receptionist services, may require an additional agreement. Sending an enquiry does not purchase or activate them. Any price, trial, renewal, cancellation or service-specific conditions will be provided for that offering before you agree to it.

Listings draw on public business sources, third-party information and owner submissions. Details can change, and the directory may be incomplete or contain errors. Google ratings and review counts reflect the data available when collected, not a live review of a contractor’s work by us.

A claimed or ownership-verified listing means we reviewed a connection to the business. It is not certification of a license, insurance, bonding, safety record or workmanship. Ranking, proximity or prominence does not imply endorsement. Paid placements, where offered, are identified as sponsored or featured.

Before hiring, confirm that the company serves your address, check any required license and current insurance, review recent references, and obtain a written scope and payment terms. Business distance is not driving distance or a confirmed service boundary.

Owners must provide accurate, authorized information and keep it current. We may review, correct, reject or remove submissions and listings. Claiming or adding a business does not guarantee publication, search position or leads. Read our listing methods or report a correction.

A quote request is saved for our team. With the permission you provide on the form, we may follow up and share your project and contact details with one or more contractors to arrange estimates. Requests are not automatically broadcast to a contractor network. We cannot guarantee an introduction, response or appointment.

There is no obligation to hire, and submitting does not book work. The form does not create a roofing contract with RooferDirectory. Any agreement for work is made separately with your contractor. We do not set the contractor’s prices or supervise the project.

A contact message, listing correction or privacy request reaches our team; it is not a roofing quote request. Do not use these forms for emergencies. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services and stay off an unsafe roof.

Only submit information you are authorized to share. The disclosure next to each form explains its purpose and the contact authorization, if any. See our form-by-form privacy explanation.

• Roof costs: estimates use published ranges and assumptions. They are planning figures, not a local contractor quote, financing offer or guarantee of a final price. Measurements, materials, access, permits, removal and hidden damage can change your cost.
• Weather: historical records, preliminary reports and alerts have different coverage and update schedules. Area-level records do not establish damage at your property, insurance coverage, claim eligibility or a deadline. These tools are not an emergency notification service.
• Guides: information is general and may not reflect your roof, local code, policy, warranty or circumstances. Obtain an appropriate inspection and professional advice before making a consequential decision.

Forms that request contact permission describe the sender, purpose and channels. Depending on the form and permission given, these may include calls, email, texts, automated dialing, or artificial or prerecorded voices, including AI-generated voices on business forms. General contact and privacy forms do not authorize unrelated marketing. AI receptionist enquiry consent covers that enquiry and up to two helpful follow-up emails.

Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchase. You can browse the directory and contact listed contractors directly without submitting a quote form. Withdraw permission by emailing hello@rooferdirectory.co or telling our team. Optional emails include preference or unsubscribe options.

Future RooferDirectory SMS terms

• Permission and subject: if launched, we will request or reconfirm the consent required for the specific program, identify RooferDirectory as sender and describe the messages. They may concern roofing requests, business submissions or claims, and offers only where separately authorized. Automated messages may be used as disclosed at opt-in.
• Your choice: participation will be voluntary and not a condition of buying any product or service. You must be at least 18 and the subscriber or an authorized user of the mobile number you provide.
• Frequency and charges: frequency will vary with the program and your interactions. Message and data rates may apply according to your carrier plan.
• Stopping messages: the launched program will support replying STOP or another supported standard opt-out keyword. You may also revoke permission by contacting our team. After opt-out, no further program messages will be sent except a permitted confirmation or another message you separately request or authorize. We will honor other reasonable revocation requests as required by law.
• Help: the launched program will support HELP. Email hello@rooferdirectory.co for assistance, including before launch.
• Delivery: availability depends on the carrier and device. Delivery can be delayed or fail; do not rely on texts for emergencies. To the extent permitted by law, carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Privacy: we do not sell, rent or transfer SMS opt-in or consent to other businesses for their marketing. Service providers may process data to deliver our program and manage opt-outs. A contractor introduction does not transfer SMS permission. See SMS privacy.
• Number changes: tell us if you stop using a subscribed number. Re-enrollment after withdrawal will require a new opt-in. Material changes to the program will be disclosed, with new permission obtained where required.

• Do not submit false information, impersonate a business owner or claim a listing without authority.
• Do not send spam, harassment, unlawful content or information you have no right to disclose.
• Do not bypass security controls, misuse verification links, interfere with the Site or use automated collection to harvest personal contact details.
• Do not reproduce or redistribute substantial directory content commercially without permission.

These restrictions do not prohibit assistive technology, ordinary browser features, uses permitted by law or search-engine indexing allowed by our published crawler instructions. Keep private ownership and preference links secure. We may restrict abusive access or remove unlawful submissions.

Our original design, text, graphics and logos belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Site for personal research or legitimate business-listing management. Uses permitted by law remain permitted. Other copying, modification or commercial redistribution requires authorization from the relevant rights holder.

Businesses and other contributors retain ownership of their content. By submitting content intended for a public listing, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, format, display and distribute it as needed to operate and promote that listing in the directory. You confirm you have the necessary rights and authority. This does not make private messages or consent records public.

Third-party trademarks, photos, ratings and other material remain subject to their owners’ rights. Contact hello@rooferdirectory.co about an ownership or content concern, identifying the material and relevant page.

Contractor websites, Google services, map services and other external destinations operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, availability or business practices. A link does not amount to an endorsement. Our Privacy Policy explains map, location and other provider processing.

Accessibility and assistance

We work toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and continue evaluating the Site; we do not represent that every page or third-party feature has passed an independent conformance audit. Optional reading settings complement that work and are not required to request help.

If a page, form or security check is a barrier, email hello@rooferdirectory.co for assistance or an accessible alternative. No diagnosis or medical documentation is required. See Accessibility & help. Nothing in these Terms waives applicable accessibility or other non-waivable legal rights.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Site, its information and tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free information or a particular contractor result.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of the Site or reliance on its information. We are not a party to your roofing agreement and do not assume the contractor’s obligations for workmanship, price, permits or warranties.

These limits apply only where lawful. They do not exclude liability or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including non-waivable consumer, privacy and accessibility protections. They do not excuse our fraud, willful misconduct or other liability that the law requires us to retain.

Claims caused by misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Site, knowingly false submissions or infringement of another party’s rights through content you supply. This does not require you to cover our own unlawful conduct or waive protected rights, and it does not penalize good-faith privacy requests, accessibility reports or complaints.

These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or the Site are to be brought in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, and the parties consent to their jurisdiction.

Nothing here removes a mandatory consumer protection, a right to contact a regulator, or another right or forum that cannot lawfully be waived. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

We may revise these Terms as the Site or our services change. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised date. We will provide additional notice or seek agreement where required; changes do not retroactively create marketing or SMS consent or remove non-waivable rights.
