RooferDirectory.co ("the Site," "we," "us") is operated by Ember Labs (emberlabs.com), a trade name of ECC Management, LLC. We are committed to being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use and share that information, and what choices you have. By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

When you use certain features, you voluntarily provide information to us:

• Get a Quote / quote requests: We collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, ZIP code (or location), project type (e.g., repair, replacement), timeline, and any optional project details you enter. This information is used to match you with contractors and to allow them to contact you with estimates.
• Contractor claim form: We collect your name, business name, business email, and phone number so we can verify and process your request to claim or update a listing.
• Contact or feedback forms: We collect whatever information you submit in those forms (typically name, email, and message) so we can respond to you.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URL, and approximate time spent on the Site. We use this to understand how the Site is used, to improve performance, and to detect and prevent abuse.

3. Cookies, Analytics & Google Signals

Cookies we use

Google Signals

We have enabled Google Signals within our Google Analytics configuration. When Google Signals is active, Google may associate your visit data with information from your Google account (if you are signed in to a Google account and have enabled Ads Personalization). This allows Google to:

You can opt out of Google Signals and Ads Personalization by visiting your Google Account settings and turning off Ads Personalization. You may also manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect your experience on the Site.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the directory and referral service: To connect homeowners with roofing contractors by sharing relevant quote-request or contact information with contractors in the applicable area.
• Operate and improve the Site: To maintain, secure, and improve the directory, fix errors, and understand usage patterns.

5. How We Share Your Information

With contractors. When you submit a quote request or a form designed to connect you with contractors, we share the information you provide (name, contact details, project details) with one or more roofing contractors so they can respond. This is central to how the Site works.

With service providers. We may share information with companies that help us operate the Site (e.g., hosting, analytics, email delivery). These providers are contractually required to use the information only to perform services for us and to protect it appropriately.

With Google. As described in Section 3 above, we share usage data with Google through Google Analytics and Google Signals. Google uses this data to provide us with analytics and measurement services, to generate aggregated demographic and interest reports, and to support ad targeting across the Google advertising network. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing or other purposes.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law (e.g., subpoena, court order, or government request), to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the services you use, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. For example, we may retain quote-request data for a reasonable period so contractors can follow up and we can support any related inquiries. Google Analytics data is retained in accordance with our configured retention settings (currently 14 months). You may request deletion of your personal information (see "Your Rights & Choices" below); we will honor such requests where consistent with our legal and operational requirements.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Opt out of marketing communications (where applicable).
• Opt out of analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or adjusting your browser cookie settings.
• Opt out of Google Signals / Ads Personalization by visiting your Google Account settings.
